I believe the most heartfelt imagery is often hidden in seemingly ordinary moments.

Hello, I’m Patrick

For weddings, I take on a documentary, artistic, slightly editorial style approach. The images are clean, the colors are lush yet vivid, and the skin tones are soft and natural (not overly orange or brown). I strive to create honest, emotionally charged images that tell your story. Your wedding day is packed full of emotions - You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll get serious, you’ll feel butterflies - and I’ll be there to capture all of it with empathy and vision.

I obtained my Masters of Fine Art degree from UW-Milwaukee in 2017. I began capturing images on film at the age of 16 after discovering my dad’s 1980's silver Nikon in the attic. To this day I still develop rolls of film by hand in our kitchen sink and enlarge them in my basement darkroom. I’m an artist who has shown and sold paintings nationally and internationally. During the week I’m a family man and stay-at-home-parent to two beautiful little girls (Maple & Lucy Lu). I enjoy being outside and LOVE fishing. I listen to alternative, progressive, folk, and hardcore music. I make pancakes every weekend (hence our first daughter’s name...). <3

This is all about you. I care about how you experience your wedding day. I’ll be there to offer support and direction when you need me, but I won’t make your wedding day feel like a paparazzi photo shoot.

After photographing more than 100 weddings over the past several years, I’ve really come to understand the value in the slower, more mindful moments of a wedding day. Couples often ask me “what is one bit of advice would you give about planning a wedding?” My honest answer: take time to sneak away.  This day goes by so fast.  Your sense of time can feel completely warped with all of the wonderful tummy-turning emotions and interactions.  In the blink of an eye the ceremony is over and it’ll be time to hit the dance floor!

Sure, celebrating with your guests is great but try and plan to take 10 minutes after your ceremony to let it all sink in… Or sneak away for some sunset magic with a glass of champagne… I’ll snap a few photos then sneak away.  That small moment of personal time may just be your favorite part of the whole day.
